This refillable Bamboo & Sisal Dish Brush is a great sustainable option for kitchen and general household cleaning, especially for use with dishes, pots, and pans with stains or grease. Sisal is a natural fiber from the agave sisalana plant, which is stronger and more durable than other natural fibers, as well as being resistant to bacteria, mildew, and oil. The brush is handy for handwashing light grease but also convenient for a quick rinse before a machine wash, and can even be used as a veggie brush! Research shows that brushes are better alternatives than kitchen sponges, which can more easily harbor germs and bacteria and are also less sustainable as they need to be replaced more often.

Note: The brush head types are not interchangeable, and unfortunately the manufacturer no longer makes beechwood brushes; please purchase the same material type for your replacement heads as you did for your brush. If you got or have a beechwood brush, the bamboo heads will not fit properly.
Care Tips: Use dish soap as needed. Rinse with water after each use and air dry with the bristles facing down. Clean the bristles (as needed) with vinegar to kill bacteria. Avoid soaking in water (to prevent cracks), avoid placing in the dishwasher, and place away from high heat or flames.
Directions: While replacing the Sisal Dish Brush head, please be as gentle as possible to ensure safety. To replace, use pliers to pinch the metal piece. Pull the brush head and the brush handle on opposite sides slowly to remove the old brush head. Slide on a new brush head until the metal piece is back to its original position to hold it tight.
Disposal: Repurpose the brush for shoe cleaning or general house cleaning whenever or for as long as possible. Check your city's waste management information before recycling or composting. If unsure, consider composting in the backyard before throwing into the garbage.
